One of the greatest challenges in rapeseed stubble cultivation is not to bury the fine rapeseed too deep. If they are buried too deep, there is a risk that they will go into dormancy (seminal dormancy).
In this condition, the rapeseed can germinate for several years. For this reason, it is essential to only work ultra-shallowly when cultivating rape stubble.
This is no longer a problem with the SPEEDMAX knife roller. Due to the special blade geometry, the blades do not penetrate deeper than 2 cm into the ground.
This gives you enough soil movement to stimulate the grains to germinate, to mix the organic material on the surface and, on the other hand, to save valuable soil water.
